Yesterday my father-in-law lost his battle with cancer.
He had fought hard for over 6yrs ....this is the first of our parents to go and it is a strange feeling.
We are heading to NC tomorrow then up to Ohio for the service. Don't know how much time I'll get to check in on you guys....like I'm very good at that right now anyways!!!
But at least for the next couple of weeks I won't be around much.

I am so sorry for your loss. It never gets easy but I can assure you, none of your losses will ever be gone from your heart. My mom and dad and son are in my thoughts often. I know that does not take the place of what you had but it helps you move on and allows them to go peacefully into their next existence if there is one and my hope is there is something new and better waiting for all of us.
I'm so sorry, Donna. Losing a parent must be very hard. I'm not looking forward to the day. My heart goes out to you, your husband, and his mother.
